Sleeping Under the Stars at 4,600m
I never thought I could sleep in a luxury bed while staring at the Milky Way through a transparent dome. The Salkantay glacier right in front of you at sunrise — absolutely unreal. Worth every penny.

What's Included
Skydomecamps began with a mission to elevate the Andean trekking experience. By bringing the refined standards of our Andenes Del Inca hotel into the Peruvian backcountry, we created a unique glamping destination for those seeking a bucket-list getaway without compromising on comfort.
Located at the base of Apu Humantay, our Soraypampa site offers a privileged, 360-degree vantage point of both the Humantay and Salkantay peaks.
Our custom-built glass domes are designed to merge the wilderness with modern innovation. Each unit serves as a private sanctuary immersed in a valley of grazing llamas and alpacas.

Our domes are strategically positioned at the base of Humantay Mountain. As the first major campsite on the Salkantay Trek, we offer the region’s most iconic panoramic views of both the Humantay and Salkantay glaciers.
Soraypampa is the first primary stop after starting near Mollepata. It is typically reached after a morning of trekking, making it the ideal location to acclimatize before tackling the Salkantay Pass the following day.
Yes. Skydomecamps welcomes travelers seeking a standalone high-altitude glamping experience. If you can arrange transport to the area, our domes offer a unique mountain getaway independent of the full trek.
Due to the high altitude, temperatures at Soraypampa can drop below freezing. While our domes are engineered with thermal insulation and outfitted with high-quality warm bedding, we strongly recommend packing thermal layers to ensure your comfort.
Yes. Each dome is equipped with power outlets for charging your devices, and high-speed Wi-Fi is available so you can share your first day of trekking photos with the world.
Your experience includes a chef-prepared dinner and breakfast, comfortable beds, lighting, and full access to our modern bathroom facilities.
We recommend sturdy hiking boots, a refillable water bottle, and high-SPF sunscreen. For the evening, bring heavy layers (down jacket, fleece, and thermal base layers). Altitude sickness remedies are also highly recommended for this section of the trail.
No specialized climbing experience is required. However, because you are trekking at high altitudes, a reasonable level of physical fitness will help you enjoy the journey to the campsite.

Real experiences from travelers who slept under the Andean sky

Sky DomeWe did the full Salkantay Trek and stayed at the dome on night two. After a hard day of hiking, coming back to a real bed, hot shower and that view of the mountain? Nothing compares to that.
Salkantay TrekI have camped across Patagonia and Nepal but nothing matched this. The dome is warm, beautifully designed and the silence at 4,600m is something else entirely. I woke up at 3am just to stare at the stars.
